Lex Luthor will have more scenes in the Snyder Cut of Justice League, and that’s a great opportunity for Eisenberg’s performance to win fans over.
Jesse Eisenberg’s eccentric performance as Lex Luthor in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice was a point of controversy in an already controversial movie, but the upcoming release of the “Snyder Cut” of Justice League may shed a more positive light on the interpretation. Zack Snyder was the original director of Justice League through principal photography and part of post-production before personal circumstances led him to step down, after which Joss Whedon took over and extensively reworked many aspects of the film. After heavy fan petitioning, Warner Bros. recently announced that they would commit $20-30 million to complete Snyder’s original vision of the project, now titled Zack Snyder’s Justice League, which will be released on HBO Max. This cut is expected to expand upon the storylines of many characters, including Luthor.
