Thamma blends supernatural folklore, romance and horror comedy as journalist Alok finds himself entwined with Tadaka of the Betaal tribe, and their clash with the tyrant Yakshashan. The film dazzles with strong visuals, slick VFX and solid performances, living up to the high production values of its franchise. Yet while it entertains, it lacks the emotional weight and social undercurrent that made earlier entries resonate. Some critics found the writing patchy and the protagonists’ chemistry weak, leaving the blockbuster veneer unsupported by depth.
