The makers of Rajinikanth’s much-awaited film Vettaiyan dropped the film’s prevue on Friday. The teaser gives a glimpse of the cast of the film which stars Rajinikanth, Amitabh Bachchan, Fahadh Faasil, Rana Daggubati, Manju Warrier, in pivotal roles. The film, directed by Jai Bhim fame TJ Gnanavel, marks the reunion of Amitabh Bachchan and Rajinikanth after 32 years. From the prevue, with music by Anirudh Ravichander, it appears that the film will take on some heavy subjects, like the moral issue of police encounters. Director TJ Gnanavel has used the superstardom of Rajinikanth and Amitabh Bachchan for social commentary as the two stars are on opposing ends here. From the prevue, we understand that Big B’s character Sathyadev isn’t happy that encounters are seen as heroism, and Rajinikanth argues that encounters are a means to social and rightful justice. The film, which also features Rana Daggubati and Fahadh Faasil in pivotal roles, might just be something very different in comparison to other Rajinikanth films where the actor is trigger-happy without worrying about the consequences. There is very little we know about the other characters, including the ones played by Manju Warrier, Dushara Vijayan, and Ritika Singh. Related Videos Tweets by VettaiyanMovie
