Rihanna and Her Baby Both Wore the Shoes of the Season

It may be nearing December, but Rihanna and her very stylish son RZA both just rocked the shoes of the summer while out in New York City. Rihanna wore a floor-length navy blue coat over a black zip-up R13 hoodie and a pair of shiny black pantashoes. While her look may have been relatively lowkey, she—in true Rihanna fashion—showed out with two status accessories. On her feet she wore the venerated Alaïa flats, a pair of black crystal studded Mary-Janes. Never one to wear just a singular buzzy accessory, she also carried the trend du jour, a black Gucci horsebit purse. In the same hand, the doting mother held a pair of shoes for her one-and-a-half-year-old son, RZA, a pair of taxi cab yellow Onitsuka Tiger Mexico 66s. The sneakers had a moment this past year timed to the 20th anniversary of Kill Bill Vol. 1, which heavily featured the trainers on Uma Thurman. While the shoes come in a variety of colorways, we’re glad to see RZA is sporting the classic Kill Bill yellows. Clearly, he got his fashionable genetics from his very chic parents, Rihanna and A$AP Rocky.
