Tiku Weds Sheru released on Amazon Prime, is a dark satirical film infused with a touch of romantic comedy that revolves around the lives of two eccentric dreamers in Mumbai. Produced by Kangana Ranaut, and directed and written by Sai Kabir, and the movie showcases remarkable performances by Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Avneet Kaur in some scenes but also fails to impress in most parts.

Director managed to bring their quirky characters to life with conviction, captivating the audience but the film’s plot is too weak to keep you interested. The chemistry between the leads adds charm, and their unwavering optimism in pursuing their Bollywood aspirations is endearing but the age difference in real life looks very awkward on screen too. Avneet Kaur looks too cute to do an item number. The film is a one time watch as it successfully blends genres, incorporating elements of romance, comedy, and satire but fails to offer anything unique in terms of cinematic experience.

The dark and satirical undertones add depth, shedding light on the challenges faced by those chasing their dreams. However, the film falters due to its weak narrative, lacking cohesion, and strong central conflict. At times, the characters and their actions feel forced, diluting the authenticity the film aims for.

Despite its flaws, Tiku Weds Sheru presents an interesting concept, almost good performances, and an exploration of the darker side of Bollywood dreams. It may not be a masterpiece, but it’s worth binge watching for the talents of Siddiqui and Kaur.
