Things we already know to be true about Channing Tatum: He’s an insanely talented dancer, which he’s already proved in both Step Up and the Magic Mike movies. He can seriously act (we’re still upset he was all but ignored during awards season last year for Foxcatcher). And his lip-syncing abilities are second-to-none—even Beyonce agrees. But, as it turns out, Tatum is full-fledged triple threat, and not just because of his ability to mouth along to a song: He can legitimately sing.

Tatum got the chance to show off his pipes for the first time on camera in Hail, Caesar!, the Coen brothers’ film due out this Friday. Tatum plays Burt Gurney, a “song and dance man” who is reminiscent of Gene Kelly in this clip below. Tatum not only tap dances but also sings—and does damn well at both.
