The Rohit Dhawan directorial marks Kartik Aaryan’s debut as a action star. Shehzada is a remake of the 2020 Telugu film Ala Vaikunthapurramuoo starring Allu Arjun. The Rohit Dhawan directorial marks Kartik Aaryan’s debut as a producer and stars the actor in the lead role alongside Kriti Sanon, Paresh Rawal, Manisha Koirala, Ronit Roy and Sachin Khedekar. The film is a remake of the 2020 Telugu film Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo.

The trailer sees Kartik Aaryan effortlessly take up the mantle of an action hero, but without leaving his stellar comic timings. The trailer starts off with an action sequence where Kartik can be seen bashing the baddies. The trailer then goes on to introduce the other characters, including Kriti Sanon. The actor effortlessly takes up the mantle of a character immortalised by Allu Arjun in the original. During the course of the trailer it comes to the fore that his father is actually a rich man, while he has been raised by a middle-class family.
