Looop Lapeta Trailer Talk: How To Save A Life In 50 Minutes, On Loop

What do you do when life gives you lemons? And what do you do when those lemons keep coming back to your life everyday, as if stuck in a loop? Taapsee Pannu as Savi faces a similar situation: Satya (Tahir Raj Bhasin), her boyfriend is a gambler, who, in his bid to make quick money, has lost Rs. 50 lakh – a sum belonging to a dangerous mafia. As his life hangs in balance, Savi needs to run – to retrieve the lost money somehow, within 50 minutes.

The trailer, spanning two and a half minutes, goes on to reveal that after her first attempt, when Savi is unable to retrieve the money in time, Satya is shot, and presumably dead. The next minute, however, she realizes that she’s stuck in a time loop, with the occurrences of the day on repeat. The only way to exit the unending loop is to find a way to save Satya. Directed by Aakash Bhatia, the film is a remake of the 1998 German thriller Run Lola Run. Produced by Sony Pictures Films India, it stars Pannu and Bhasin, alongside Shreya Dhanwanthary and Dibyendu Bhattacharya in prominent roles and premieres on Netflix on February 4.
