Netflix dropped the trailer of Lucifer Season 5 Part 1 today (July 13). This came as a big surprise for the Luci-fans, who couldn’t keep calm.
The 1 minute 52 seconds trailer, begins from where Lucifer Season 4 ended, with a goodbye kiss between Lucifer and Chloe, before Lucifer returns to rule Hell. Chloe (Lauren German) tells Mazikeen (Lesley-Ann Brandt) that she hasn’t been very good since Lucifer left for hell and has been immersing herself in work and hanging out with her to forget him.
However, Lucifer returns to earth when he sees Chloe in danger but Chloe feels he has changed since he has come back. Mazikeen, who was left on earth, confronts Lucifer and gets to know that the devil in question is not Lucifer but his twin brother Michael.
Michael has some evil plans, and one gets a whiff of it when he says, “I am not gonna break Lucifer’s life, I am gonna take it,” with an evil smirk. But, how can Lucifer leave Detective Decker aka Chloe with his evil twin? The Lord of Hell will be back on earth for the love of his life.
The official Twitter handle of Lucifer shared the trailer and captioned it as, “We know all your desires, and this season, they’re going to be fulfilled. stream #lucifer season 5 part 1 august 21 on @netflix (sic) .”
Lucifer Season 5 will be out in two parts. Part 1 will release in August and the second part will be released later.
Earlier, it was said that Lucifer Season 5 will be the final season but recently, the makers confirmed that the series will come back with a sixth and final season with Tom Ellis in the titular role.
The supernatural detective series revolves around Lucifer Morningstar, the Lord of Hell who relocates to Los Angeles after he is bored of being the devil. He helps Detective Chloe Decker (Lauren German) in solving homicide cases.
