SAG-AFTRA presented awards in 15 categories honoring the year’s best film and TV acting performances. The Neon film directed by Bong Joon-Ho is nominated for six Oscars including Best Picture, though none of Parasite’s noms is for acting. It made some history tonight anyway, becoming the first foreign-language film to win SAG’s marquee film category, the closest one it has to a Best Picture competition. Last year, Black Panther took the honor. “Although Parasite .. the title is Parasite, I think the story is about coexistence and how we can all live together,” star Song Kang-Ho said during the acceptance speech.
