Sporting a sweater, bottoms and drape in kilt style, Varun Dhawan is looking every bit of dapper and handsome new Indian actor that he is! The actor who played a vengeful Raghav in 2015’s Badlapur, the confused, youthful Danish in 2018’s October and the happy-go-lucky Mauji of Sui Dhaaga (2018) has made a deliberate shift in his choice of films, leaning towards children-friendly entertainers than more complex characters or roles.
Movies like Street Dancer 3D and Coolie No 1 are classic example of his shift from more complex roles.
Street Dancer 3D is directed by Remo D’Souza. It is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Divya Khosla Kumar, Krishan Kumar and Lizelle D’Souza. The movie features Shraddha Kapoor, Prabhu Deva and Nora Fatehi in the lead roles. Earlier planned to be released on 8 November 2019, it will be theatrically released in India on 24 January 2020.
Coolie No. 1 is directed by David Dhawan and produced by Vashu Bhagnani. A remake of the 1995 film of the same name, the film stars Varun Dhawan and Sara Ali Khan, with Paresh Rawal in a supporting role. The film is set to be theatrically released in India on 1 May 2020.
