Alia Bhatt To Croon A Song For Sadak 2

Alia Bhatt is working with her dad, Mahesh Bhatt for the very first time in Sadak 2 and thus, the film is very special to the father-daughter duo. The movie is a sequel to Mahesh Bhatt’s 1991 release Sadak and Alia will also croon a song for the film.

We hear that the actress recorded the scratch version of a song at a recording studio in Juhu, earlier this week. A source revealed, “While Jeet Ganguly’s score is ready, the lyrics are still being worked upon. Jeet da wanted to understand Alia’s pitch and voice modulation, so they decided to record the scratch. The lyrics will now be rewritten under the supervision of Mahesh Bhatt. It is a romantic number and comes at a crucial point in the film, so Bhatt sir is being meticulous about it. The final track will be recorded only after the unit returns from their Ooty schedule in August.”

Mahesh Bhatt is making his come back to direction after two decades with Sadak 2. The sequel to Sadak stars the original lead pair Sanjay Dutt and Pooja Bhatt along with Aditya Roy Kapur. The film deals with the issue of depression. It is about love, loss and redemption. Sadak 2 revolves around a young woman’s (Alia Bhatt) encounter with a godman who is out to expose a fake guru who runs an ashram. It will release on July 10, 2020.
