The film is set in the 1940s and has an ensemble cast of Madhuri Dixit, Sonakshi Sinha, Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, Aditya Roy Kapur and Sanjay Dutt. The co-producer of Kalank, Karan Johar took to his Instagram page and shared a beautiful still from the film with a heartfelt note. The filmmaker promised the fans that he will unravel the film from Thursday. As Karan promised, the filmmaker shared the first look of Varun from Kalank and the actor is seen in a fierce look. In the still, a kohl-eyed Varun is giving an intense look with angst. The actor reportedly plays the role of a blacksmith in the film and has beefed up for the role.
