Sanya Malhotra to star opposite Ayushmann Khurrana in ‘Badhaai Ho’

Joining Ayushmann Khurrana in a coming-of-age story of a family as it grapples with some unexpected news is none other than ‘Dangal’ girl Sanya Malhotra. The actress who recently wrapped up work on Ritesh Batra’s ‘Photographer’ has been signed on to play the female lead opposite Ayushmann in ‘Badhaai Ho’.
In an official statement, Sanya revealed, “I am really happy to be an actor first. Whenever anything interesting comes up, I want to try it out and play parts that excite me creatively,” adding that her prep for ‘Badhaai Ho’ will start soon. “It won’t be anything rigorous. Thankfully, I am not wrestling in this one.”

The film will be directed by Amit Sharma, who has helmed over 1000 ad films. Produced by Junglee Pictures and Chrome Pictures, ‘Badhaai Ho’ will roll in Delhi by the end of January 2018.
