Akira – Album

After the success of Sultan, music composers Vishal-Shekhar are back with the high decibel album ‘Akira’. Rajj rajj ke is an intense number penned by lyricist Kumaar. The song has three versions and the first one is sung by Sonakshi Sinha and Vishal Dadlani. The second and the third remix versions are by reality show contestant Nahid Afrin. It features an angst-ridden Sonakshi Sinha who talks about the trials and tribulations of life and is venting out her anger. The track not only sounds quite similar to Jee karda from Badlapur but has also been picturised in a similar manner. Purza by Arijit Singh is reminiscent of yesteryear jazz songs albeit with a contemporary twist. Arijit’s melodious voice coupled with the slightly medium tempo makes it a pleasant track to listen to.
