The buzz for this horror comedy was already high right from the beginning, and the results are overwhelming. Stree 2 has smashed the opening of the records for Bollywood movies in 2024, including Kalki 2898 AD’s numbers in Hindi dubbed language.<\/p>\n

In June’s last week, Kalki 2898 AD surpassed the opening day figures of Hrithik Roshan’s Fighter and scored the biggest opening for any movie in Hindi markets. Now, Stree 2 has surpassed those figures by a margin. Amar Kaushik’s horror comedy was boosted by the national holiday and even faced capacity issues at several centres. The 3-way clash was only there for a name, and Stree 2 remained unaffected except for a loss of screens. <\/p>\n

The Sharadha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao starrer has taken a huge opening in the range of 40\u201342 crore nett, as per early estimates. The film can go a little higher if the late-night shows can add 1-2 crore more to its Kitty. This is the biggest opening for any Bollywood or Hindi movie in 2024, beating the previous record of 21.28 crore nett by Kalki 2898 AD.
