Flashes of their first meeting in Bad Nauheim, Germany, in 1959 to their 1967 Las Vegas wedding and birth of their daughter, Lisa Marie, are teased throughout the new footage. The trailer spotlights some of the couple\u2019s most iconic moments together, as well as their eventual divorce. \u201cPriscilla\u201d stars Cailee Spaeny in the titular role and Jacob Elordi as the King of Rock \u2018n\u2019 Roll. The film\u2019s centering of Priscilla\u2019s perspective serves as a sharp counter to Baz Luhrmann\u2019s 2022 biographical music drama \u201cElvis,\u201d which starred Austin Butler and Olivia DeJonge as the Presleys and went on to receive several Oscar nominations.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPriscilla\u201d received a seven-minute standing ovation at this year\u2019s Venice Film Festival. Coppola and Priscilla attended the premiere alongside Spaeny and Elordi, as the actors were granted a SAG-AFTRA interim agreement to promote the film amid the strike. Spaeny won the best actress prize. \u201cPriscilla\u201d is directed and written by Coppola, marking her first feature since 2020\u2019s \u201cOn the Rocks.\u201d She also produces alongside Youree Henry and Lorenzo Mieli. The film comes from Fremantle Company and American Zoetrope. A24 will release \u201cPriscilla\u201d in North America, with Vision Distribution in Italy, where it will become a Sky exclusive.
