\nThe summer\u2019s not going to go by without new music from Selena Gomez. She teamed up with Camilo for the Spanish-language \u2018999\u2019 and it\u2019s so good. Though it seems Selena Gomez has been focused on her acting career, the Only Murders in the Building star took a moment on Friday (Aug. 27) to give fans of her music a little gift. While teaming with Colombian singer-producer Camilo, Selena, 29, took it to a new level \u2013 level \u201c999,\u201d to be precise. In the new song and video, she rocks a bunch of different hairstyles and plays in a field with flowers \u2014 it\u2019s truly mesmerizing. Watch the full video above.<\/p>\n

Selena first teased the new track on Aug. 23. \u201c1,000 yo s\u00e9 que piensas en m\u00ed y el coraz\u00f3n se te mueve\u2026si t\u00fa quieres ir a 1000\u2026\u201d she tweeted, which roughly translates to, \u201c1,000 I know you think of me and your heart moves \u2026 if you want to go to 1,000 \u2026\u201d Shortly afterward, she released the presave link to her new song. On the following day, she tweeted, \u201cYo s\u00e9 que piensas en mi, y el coraz\u00f3n se te mueve \/ I know that you think of me, and your heart moves.\u201d On Aug. 25, she shared a trippy snippet of the music video, one that depicted her with a variety of new hair colors and styles. From the blue-grey locks that fell past her shoulders to the daffodil-yellow bob to the curly purple waves, there was a dash of psychedelia in this Latin pop.<\/p>\n

\u201c999\u201d marks Selena\u2019s first music since her Revelaci\u00f3n EP. The Spanish-language project arrived in March 2021 and contained the singles \u201cDe Una Vez,\u201d \u201cBaila Conmigo,\u201d and \u201cSelfish Love.\u201d The first two found their way onto the Billboard Hot 100, hitting #92 and #74, respectively, while \u201cSelfish Love\u201d (with DJ Snake) reached No. 5 at the Bubbling Under Hot 100 chart. Revelaci\u00f3n arrived to fairly positive reviews, with Rolling Stone saying Selena\u2019s \u201cASMR-ready voice is more alluring in Spanish and she plays that to her strength\u201d and that the EP indicated that Selena en espa\u00f1ol \u201cis a revelation worth revisiting on a full-length project.\u201d<\/p>\n
