Since its release on Netflix last week, Spenser Confidential has topped the streaming service\u2019s top 10 most-watched films.
\nYou\u2019d think \u2013 judging from its consistent number one spot \u2013 the film must be doing something right, whether that\u2019s an enthralling plot, an A-list cast, or something else entirely.
\nUsually, when a film is rated as Rotten there\u2019s a reason for it. In this case, it\u2019s apparently because it\u2019s \u2018joyless and messy\u2019, \u2018crap\u2019, \u2018aggressively bad on almost every conceivable front\u2019, and \u2018an ego-stroking exercise\u2019 for director Peter Berg and lead actor Wahlberg.
\nOh, and let\u2019s not forget one particularly brutal review, which called into question whether the creator of the iconic Spenser character \u2013 American mystery writer Robert B. Parker \u2013 would even like this recreation.\n<\/div>\n
