\nSouth Korea\u2019s Parasite won the Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture prize on Sunday to cap the 26th annual SAG Awards at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles. SAG-AFTRA presented awards in 15 categories honoring the year\u2019s best film and TV acting performances.
\nThe Neon film directed by Bong Joon-Ho is nominated for six Oscars including Best Picture, though none of Parasite\u2019s noms is for acting. It made some history tonight anyway, becoming the first foreign-language film to win SAG\u2019s marquee film category, the closest one it has to a Best Picture competition. Last year, Black Panther took the honor. \u201cAlthough Parasite .. the title is Parasite, I think the story is about coexistence and how we can all live together,\u201d star Song Kang-Ho said during the acceptance speech. But to be honored with the best ensemble award, it occurs to me that maybe we haven\u2019t created such a bad movie.\u201d
