Sel and her friends are in Cabo San Lucas for New Year\u2019s Eve, with Justin reportedly on his way. It would be the first holiday they\u2019ve spent together, with Justin skipping out on spending Christmas and Thanksgiving with Selena\u2019s family (since, you know, they\u2019re not thrilled that she\u2019s gone back to him.) Despite this disapproval, Selena \u201cNot backing down when it comes to Justin,\u201d a source close to Selena EXCLUSIVELY told HollywoodLife.com. \u201cShe adores him and swears this is the right thing for her. He\u2019s changed and she knows that in time everyone will see that for themselves.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Just how serious is Selena taking this renewed romance? \u201cShe\u2019s started calling him \u2018my husband,\u2019\u201d the source tells HollywoodLife.com, \u201cso it\u2019s pretty clear she\u2019s taking this relationship very seriously.\u201d Considering that Justin has been handling all of Selena\u2019s family drama with emotional \u201cmaturity\u201d and by giving Selena her personal space to handle things, it\u2019s possible that Selena, more than ever, sees him as the man she\u2019d want to settle down with. Justin is also reportedly ready to take their relationship to the next level, so maybe Selena\u2019s pet name for her bae is not that far off?<\/p>\n<p>Hopefully, 2018 is a better year for both Selena and her mother, Mandy Teefey. Sel\u2019s mother went on Instagram Live on Dec. 27, giving an update to fans, days after she checked herself into the hospital. Earlier reports claimed the visit was due to a stressful conversation with her daughter over Justin, but a source told PEOPLE that it was just Mandy making sure \u201ceverything was okay.\u201d Whatever the cause, the visit \u2013 along with all the drama of the past months, including Selena\u2019s emergency kidney transplant \u2013 seemed to take its toll on Mandy. \u201cIt\u2019s been a rough 2017,\u201d she told her fans, \u201cAnd you know what, 2018 can only be better. That\u2019s what I\u2019m hoping for.
